Our founders set sail to travel the world only to fall in love with New Zealand. After planting vines, they used the local earth to build their home. Two decades on, we continue to celebrate the spirit of striking out and breaking boundaries; wherever you are in the world, look out for our distinctive wines and celebrate your taste for adventure.
All the fruit was sourced solely from our Claim 431 Vineyard in Bendigo, Central Otago. Free draining loam soils over schist gravel makes this sub-region a natural home for growing outstanding Pinot Noir. The huge diurnal (day/night) temperature shifts which are typical of the region, add to the structure and increased flavour concentration in the fruit.
The 2017 vintage in Bendigo was a great season for fresh, vibrant and elegant Pinot Noir. The growing season was warm and long, allowing the fruit to ripen at a gentle pace. A moderate crop resulted in wine of elegance, vibrancy and poise.
