The Wine Shop has hosted private wine tastings in Loresho for years — in the garden under the umbrellas, indoors by the cellar, or at the Enomatic tasting counter. Every experience is led by our own team and built from the wines we actually stock, so what you taste is what you can take home.

Corporate Wine Tastings and Client Entertainment

For teams and clients we run tastings that work as an evening out rather than a lecture: a comparative flight of six wines, a blind tasting with a little friendly competition, or a food-and-wine pairing from our kitchen.

Groups from eight to forty are comfortable in the garden; smaller client dinners sit indoors. We can invoice the company, keep to a set budget per guest, and time the evening around your day.

Birthdays, Anniversaries and Friends

A private tasting is a good excuse to gather people who don't usually get to sit down together. Tell us the occasion and we'll shape the pace — a relaxed ninety minutes with cheese boards, or a longer afternoon that turns into dinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a private wine tasting in Nairobi cost?
It depends on the wines and whether food is included. Most groups choose a per-guest budget between KSh 3,500 and KSh 12,000; you can set your own range in the enquiry and we build the tasting to it.

Can you host a corporate wine tasting or team-building event?
Yes. Corporate groups, Client entertainment and Team evenings are the most common private experiences we run. We can invoice the company and work to a fixed budget.

How many people can you host?
From two guests at the tasting counter to larger groups in the garden. For more than twenty, tell us in the enquiry and we will suggest a format.

Do you provide food with the tasting?
Everything comes from our kitchen — wine bites, dips and mezze, cheese and charcuterie boards including a halal graze board, sharing plates or dinner from the menu. There is a full vegan menu.

Is the tasting led by someone?
Every private tasting is led by a member of The Wine Shop team who chooses the flight and talks you through it — as much or as little as your group wants.
