The Truth Tree is the isiXhosa name for the Erythrina or Coral Tree. It is said that a lie told in its shade brings misfortune, so important village meetings were held beneath it. This wine is vegan: no animal products are used in making it.

About the Producer
Flagstone was founded by winemaker Bruce Jack, who sources grapes from carefully chosen vineyards across the Cape. Each wine is named after a story from South Africa’s people, places and history. Led today by head winemaker Gerhard Swart, Flagstone was named Prescient Winery of the Year 2024 by Winemag.co.za.
